Average age of a Premiership fan?

older m8.! mind my 9 year old lad makes our average better than 43.

have they surveyed the kids as well on grounds ??.the age would surely drop a lot if so.i am 44 by the way but reckon 20% of our ground are under 16's.also it seems all our trouble lot are around 16

Indeed, went to a lot of Pompey games in London til you lot got promoted. Everyone seemed to be older and a lot bigger than me. And loads scarier! 
Twenty years ago surely things were a lot different though? Football was just followed by teenagers, maybe a few lads in their twenties. That's how I always remembered it (with rose-tinted specs in place). Don't suppose youngesters these days have got the kind of coin you need to follow footie to any degree?
Might be different if you did fans travelling away, I guess? Demographic is bound to be heaps different to those holding season tickets at home? Older you get the more responsibilities you have, and less freedom to travel? Actually, no, that's bollocks. My old man's retired now and still hasn't bothered with an away game since the early 90's. But then, we're shite now!

When I first started going to watch 'Citeh', aged 18 it seemed that the Kippax (all standing area of the ground) seemed to be full of school children and youths. fast forward 20 years to the present day, and admittedly at Eastlands there are a few children - aged under 16 because of the concessions, but crucially there are no youths in the 16 to mid 20's age bracket. I remember buying Technique priced £5.49 in the mid '80s and having to pay £3 to watch City. If record prices had matched the spiralling costs of football, then a CD nowadays would probably cost about £35 !
All the football clubs are fleecing their fans, and something needs to happen.

I used to go with my Dad and lose him as soon as we walked through the turnstiles. All the kids used to gather down at the front, standing in puddles of wee from the pissed men up at the back. Lovely.
City are starting to think of new ways to get the kids back. Children all got a free scarf on Friday and they do much cheaper tickets for kids. About time too.
I took my 4-year old boy on Friday and at one point he turned to me and said "Are there any other little boys here?"
We couldn't see any
