Blagged a ticket for the opening 'event' last weekend.

COMMUNITY DAY :laugh:

The place is fantastic. Worth every penny.

And to everyone who wanted it built in the Midlands... :p

Saw Mark Bright score the first goal in the new stadium, despite looking knackered in the warm up :laugh:

And, having been in the old wembley for the 1988 Cup Final :cry: , nearly 19 years too late, I saw John Aldridge hit the back of the net.

Some good pics.Shame I left it too late to get a ticket oh well.I will see it in June when I watch MUSE play at Wembley. I heard the prices for food and drink are obscene.£5.00 for a burger and £3 for some chips!! :scratch:

That was the whole point of the day. The place hasn't got a safety certificate so 60000 through the turnstiles but without everyone arriving and leaving at the same time.

Came out of Baker St station an hour ago. SILLY police presence, and all tubes packed already - guess people are getting there early today to check out the new ground?

Marylebone station similar though not quite so bad.

EDIT: didn't realise it was a 12.30 kick-off, wondered why it so mobbed in Central London so early! :lol:

Personally I have no problem with it being in London, just a shame its in the middle of nowhere - no pubs etc. Ultimately its convenient for Arsenal, Chelsea and especially Man Utd fans :nod:
