Obviously JAK's post is a load of bollox, but maybe you could explain why the only way Liverpool can win is via a massive amount of luck? And I don't want any rubbish about Penalties being lucky.

Liverpool weren't lucky in 2005 - go back and watch the whole game again - and they are a much better team then back then.

And Liverpool haven't been at all lucky in the competition this season.

I've been a Worcester City fan all my life. My local team, the first team I ever saw play, over 35 years ago. The thing with supporting a crap local non-league club (Worcester City incidentally are the only team in the World with a 100% successful record against Liverpool in all competitions) is that you invariably also follow a bigger club, not to the extent of watching them play home and away, but take a keen interest in how they do. In my case, that team is Manchester United, though I do have soft spots for several other teams.

Don't make the assumption because I follow Utd that I automatically want Liverpool to get thrashed, I've got a lot more about me than that, I'm not one of these petty sorts who get more pleasure from their "enemy" losing than from their own team getting a result.

I can't see Liverpool getting a result for two reasons - Milan's movement will cause them all kinds of problems, and it really hurt Milan two seasons ago, they will really be up for it. To me (as the holder of a UEFA B coaching license, so I do have a rough idea about the game), the Milan midfield is far superior, and Gerrard will have to play out of his skin to make anything happen. If Benitez tries to match the Milan shape, they will get outclassed, the speed of pass and move from Milan is streets ahead of anything Liverpool have to offer. A lot will depend on set pieces, Crouch and particularly Kuyt (movement again) will be a danger, but for me Liverpool's best chance could well be penalties again, which is where the luck factor really does come into it. Yes there is skill involved in doing the homework on the penalty takers, but bottle also plays a big part.

No, I'm a Worcester City fan. Leggy wants me to admit to being a Man Utd fan, so I will admit that yes I do tend to favour them in Premiership and European games. It is after all unlikely that they will ever meet Worcester City in competition. Should that happen, I would be supporting Worcester of course. My father is a Wolves fan, my best mates as a kid were Everton, Preston, Forest and Palace. I followed Sunderland's fortunes since I saw the 1973 FA Cup Final, and have been to a lot of their games over the years, second only to Worcester games. There's teams in every league whose results I look out for, and ask me any rival team pairing and I will have a preference for one over the other.

Havin watched Milan over 210 minutes of football against the 'tic where they only managed to score 1 goal and create about 4 chances my overall feeling was they were an average Tally side who'd get gubbed in the next round. I certainly didn't think they were the European Champions in waiting and I saw little in the semi's to change my mind.

I also struggle to understand why all of a sudden they've become this "unbeatable force". It's certainly not reflected in the bookies who've got them priced VERY close. And I've never met a poor bookie yet etc etc etc.

I don't think Milan they are unbeatable at all, but I do think that the things they do well they are much better than Liverpool at, namely forward movement and quick inter-passing through the midfield. If Kaka and Seedorf get the amount of freedom they had against Bayern and United, then they will cause all kinds of problems. A lot will depend on how effective Gattuso or Kaladze are against Gerrard, and Riise could have a big role to play if he is given the freedom to play in the Milan half.

I just think that Milan have now started to find their form in Europe, the Bayern away performance was an awesome demostration of how to completely destroy a side who like to attack, and that form will see them through in normal time.

Well Huddersfield knocked us out of the FA Cup last season, had we beaten them we'd have been away at Chelsea in the 3rd round and totally debt-free as a result, so I would have to say Hunslet in this case ;)
