Nothing we didn't know already, Alf.
Most of their Champs League games have shite crowds. Guess they know they're never gonna win it 
They'll be getting 30000 for league games in a couple of seasons when Roman has taken away his purse and they are back in mid table.
it was £36 for an Adult at SB last night. and that was down from normal
£36 to see Rosenberg.

we got 12,000 once in about 1983 at Anfield for a Euro tie. whole of the Kemlyn was Empty. even a lot of the Kop.
best fans...can't be us then.

And how many did Blackburn bring to Luton in the 4th round FA Cup this year?

Proper football club with 99% of their fans coming from the Home Counties. Which is in the South of England.
The same Home Counties which provide the majority of your Glory Hunters. 
They're slowly eating into your fanbases, lads. Deal with it.

That Blackburn game was the first time we'd met in thirty years, wasn't it? Cos we were going down as you were going the other way? Maybe Alf only remembers the Walker era and doesn't remember your hard-earned time in the lower leagues!

around 1980 i reckon and funny thing is i recall jimmy hill then slagging off glen keeley (best kicker of all) on match of the day,for trying to tackle a luton player from 20 yards away at speed on an icy pitch
people forget that rovers can play some bloody good football these days.plenty of flair in the team

I love it when a plan comes together.
My alter ego, Alf, does rightly remember the good old days of the early eighties, when footie was all about getting your fustration out on a sat afternoon with all your mates and going to the likes of cambridge, portsmouth, oxford etc. It was all very tasty back then before police filming etc one of the best dats going to Carlile at xmas 85 being top of div 2 and taking up to 10k. You think i'm joking? it's a fact fellas. The riots that day a legendary not least for the sad fact that my mates cousin John was sent down for lobbing a brick that killed a fella.
I think what i'm trying to say is that even the top, top clubs are going to have to start rethinking the marketing / pricing policy, as rovers have done to great acclaim, read the pompey and brum boards for evidence, if even the chelsea and yes i do know man u boys who now don't bother. Sorry its a bit of a ramble.
And any pompey / rovers out there who remember Jimmy Hills 'he could have started world war three' quote on motd after Glen Keeley tried to decapitate a pompey player. Not sure but it could have been Mick Kennedy? Around 84.

Chelsea may well have southern fans as the majority, but many are from Wimbledon (why not support their local team?) Fulham (why not support their local team?) Kingston (why not support their local team?) etc...
And how many Chelsea players are Londoners, let alone English?

Every Chelski fan I've ever known has come from 'orrible little towns in Kent, Surrey, or West of London. They're their traditional breeding grounds. Towns without clubs full of nasty little boys who fancy themselves.
I really don't think people who live in Fulham like football, do they? Well, not of the 'round-ball' variety.
Bit lost on your last point though - Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Frank Lampard.
