Thought it was all gonna go off right at the start when McDonald decided to test the keepers shinpads off the ball  Had me searching for the record books to find out what the earliest Old Firm brawl is within minutes of the start of the match, but sadly common sense prevailed. Quite an enjoyable game despite the result, I always enjoy non-league football :evil4:

I'd like to thank Alan McGreggor for his shameless time-wasting which led to the five minutes worth of extra time being added to the end of last nights game. We couldn't have won it without your help big man.

You all come crawling out today, no response to the last 4 fixtures of the old firm derby.

I am jealous of you Celtic fans - Wish we had Strachan and Samaras!!

Oh well , I suppose this might have to do..

True. Semi-final of the UEFA Cup eh? I really think you'se have got a shout at winning it too. Honestly man. It's a shoe-in. Just like getting into the last 16 of the Champions League after the glorious victory over Lyon was. It's no like you've ridden your luck through the last three rounds or anything.

Why do you care?

isnt the leaguie in Celtics hands now? So if they win it they dont have to qualify for the Champions League next year. Thanks to Rangers getting to the final of the UEFA cup.

Uncle Liam wrote: isnt the leaguie in Celtics hands now?

Nope, 7 points in it, Rangers have 3 games in hand. So, if they win all their remaining games they're 2 points clear. Rangers still in charge of their own destiny.

EDIT: I just had to go look at the Scots league table to make sure they give 3 points for a win over the border, and not 2 like wot we used to.

2nd EDIT: if indeed we still played "2 for a win, 1 for a draw" in England then Chelski would be 1 point clear of Yernited!

Is that the Scottish equivelent of the Worthless cup?

Imagine if the world was a better place and rivalry was only light hearted. There might be a place for Scottish and English clubs playing each other more regulary and seeing which is best (on the day).

Rangers welcomed 1200 brave troops at Ibrox yesterday. They all got in for free and got a standing ovation from our fans. Doesn't surprise me that our terrorist supporting rivals take the piss. Last year they couldn't even hold a minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday. (the only club in Britain not to do so) :nonono:

I read Lloyds/TSB might have to put money into Rangers.

So...

Gazman pays taxes to the Government

The Government gives the money to Lloyds/TSB

Lloyds/TSB gives it to Rangers

Rangers win title number 53

Thanks Gazman :thumb:

Remember to do more overtime

Is this before or after they get their £30 million back?

Pompey could buy the whole Rangers team. Every player is for sale (apparantly).

I thought Pompey were banned from signing players as well?

I have no idea to be honest with you. I'm reading mixed reports all over the place. Personally I think this just shows the state of Scottish football. The Old Firm need a bigger stage ,and then the investments will follow. Two of the best supported clubs in Britain and they are in a Mickey Mouse league. :nonono:
