what are the conditions of the stadiums down there?

well it gives me an excuse to go to brazil!

According to the Times the stadia are dilapadated. Most dont have any facilities for press, TV, commentators, pundits etc. They reckon it will cost approx £500 million to get the stadia up to standard.

The Brazilian government aren't gonna pay for it all. A lot of foreign money will come in. Lots of people would want to get involved with a world cup in a proper footballing country such as Brazil.

Only real issue is perhaps the infrastructure from a travelling point of view. Their passenger rail system is non-existant for fans to get around (even presuming all the games will be played out in the bottom right hand corner of their nation where the major cities are?!)

A stadium that can't facilitate football pundits sounds like a fucking great idea. :laugh:
