Footballing question: where was Skrtel last night?

Cup-tied in Yurup?

Was thinking of getting him in my Fantasy cos Liverpool have got a double gameweek coming up soon and I thought you might actually play him regularly, given the cash you've only just splashed on him!

He played against us in the UEFA Cup a few months back.

Some of us were on our way to work.

To correct my esteemed friend from the Blue side, all teams have the chance to tweak their European squad at the end of January and Martin Skrtel has been registered by Liverpool.

As with Anelka at Chelski, although he has already played in a UEFA club competition this season he is eligible to represent a new club according to article 15.07 of the Regulations for the UEFA Cup.

maybe it was my good luck Chris, the first chance I had to watch the match today, on a bit of a late lunch for me, I asked that the TV set in my area be turned on to it. No sooner had they done so, and I had sat down, than Kuyt broke through. Everybody looked at me cause I was laughing out loud, I must say. Congrats....

Don’t say a Word yet…90 minutes left.

£6.5m? He'll get games but is more likely cover/one for the future. Agger's long awaited return could impinge on that as well.

He's shirley better than Hyppia though?

Want a Liverpool defender for the Fantasy as you've two games coming up in one week but the only player who seems guaranteed the two games would be Carragher ... and he's way too expensive, natch.

:) To be fair, you didn't say he was cup-tied, just that he'd played aginst your lot. The dig was more aimed at Al :evil4:

Good luck in the 2nd leg tonight. :thumb:

Dunno, if Hyypia gets dragged out wide he'll get done for pace by anyone. Defending the box he's pretty much as good as he ever was. We were playing a lot higher up the pitch with Agger and Carragher, which will probably be the medium to long term option. We might stick with experience when it comes to the CL for the time being though. In which case Hyypia will get league games for sharpness.
