Riise to Roma

Just been announced Riise has gone to Roma for £4m

The Anfield Road end went nuts when that went in. The goal that inspired his song. And no doubt the reason Tim hates him so much.

Great player for a fair few seasons. Shame the only time he hit the net last season was at the wrong end against Luton and Chelski but the fans who know will remember him more for that free kick and a couple of sweet goals against Arsenal, Chelski, Blackburn and others. Including a winner at the Nu Camp with his useless Right foot!!

I have nothing against Riise's football ability, he's one of the finest strikers of a ball we've seen for a while, tremendous technique, and that freekick is one of the goals I use for techique coaching.

What bugs me about him is his attitude towards opponents, authority and pretty much anyone and everyone else. He has a special talent with a ball at his feet, but for some reason he seems to think that gives him divine right to behave like a knob. Sure he's not alone in the game in that respect, but he is one of the worst offenders. Ok he's not Mark Aizlewood, Carlton Palmer or Craig Bellamy, but he's still a knob. And yes I do know what I am on about, I spent long enough in the game and have a couple of mates who are Premiership players.....

Re: Riise though. A friend of a mutual friend of ours was responsible for Riise's 'Ikons' webpage. Said pretty much the same thing. Bit of a cock.
