What a plonker! Cant believe Our Nige. He's been at Burton for 10 years, turned down countless offers of managing League teams, is on the verge of getting Burton promoted and taking them to English League for first time in their history.
And he decides to quit to go to Man Utd....no....Forest....no.....but to fucking Derby!
I use to have utmost respect for Clough junior. But I think he's blunndered bigtime on this occasion.
I give him one season max.

:)Seems strange to me after all these years that he would go - especially on the verge of such success at Burton.
Thought Derby was a strange choice too. I appreciate his Dad managing Derby all those years ago but Derby and Forest hate each other. Considering he played for Forest and that they were also in the looking for a manager, would have thought that a more understandable decision.
That said.....don't know financially the implications and listening to an interview earlier with him - sounds like it was also a decision based on his family too.
Not sure he was ever offered a job at united though the years?

He's lived in Derby nearly all his life and used to go and watch Derby play home and away before he turned pro. his kids are at school in Derby so to come and manage the Rams was an obvious rather than strange choice.
