Pffff. At least they've got concrete under their feet. I remember standing on the away end at Wigan circa 1991 and not only was it a fucking cage (par for the course, then, naturally) but it was a cage built around a muddy grass bank. No terracing; just mud. It was raining, we lost 4-0, and half the Stoke contingent left the 'ground' with muddy arses after falling over.
Oh, happy days.....

Cold Blow Lane far right entrance is where many an unsuspecting soul use to grace. Watching my mum lose the plot in ’76 trying to get to the Chelsea Lords and their affiliated Combat 18 guests for the afternoon. She did as well. Nutter. ‘Wall won 3-0. Brian Moore smiled next day on The Big Match. I shook my head and opted for a quiet life with the Arsenal until those lovely ICF chaps turned up on the North Bank one sunny afternoon in May '82. Happy days a plenty too :)

In the eighties anywhere in Yorkshire; Uddersfield (open end), Baaaaaaaarnsley (open end), Burnley for obvious reasons.............well technically they are in Lancs but for an arguments sake they are Yorkies......Portsmouth until recently........thought it didn't rain darn sarf????........Leeds in the eighties cos you were surrounded by loonies, ditto Millwall, Ayresome Park had plant pots being launched at us from..... errr.... plant pots in the seats behind the away terrace....
Anyway never mind all that the Dinglets are in town on Sunday.......sunday morning to be exact.......the six digit ones have to on their coaches at Turd Moor at 6.00 am in the mornig or something.......better set those alarms hill folk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cant believe that away end in poland,its amazing.i would love to go in it. in england - Oldham in the 70's and early 80's with the open end,in winter it was the coldest place in england.at that time we played there about 8 times in 10 years and i always took a small bottle of spirit in my pocket to stop me from freezing up worst modern away end ive been in premier league was newcastle.1,000 feet up and in a corner,you can see the shoppers in newcastle centre more clearly than the players on the pitch.
Blackburns away end in the eighties, toilets didn't drain so it was a huge pool of piss. Millwall eighties, toilets just drained down the terrace, a waterfall of piss. Rotherham eighties, toilets inaccessible so the terraces were used, circles of blokes having a piss.

Personally, wet trouser bottoms and the rancid stink of beery piss is an integral part of my memory of football pre-all seater stadia. God bless the olden days.

Fantastic ground,I still miss The Holgate,for all it's barbed wire and vandal grease.. Tell you what,you had to be there.Brucie Rioch's red and white army. Like a moth to a flame,we could'nt help it.We fucking loved it. Great to see how well all the Brucie babes have done,and are still doing.Love it.

You think the away end at Ewood were bad.........you should have spent every other week in the Blackburn End.......Bogs at the bottom of the steps next to the exit......no roof......(always pissing down)....splash back off the wall........and how strange is this???????......a huge fern in every corner.......now I made a note of this as a young lad.......and guess what????????.......my back garden is a heaven of fern design and sculpture........"how do you achieve such growth and vitality"?????????.........the neighbours ask.........Just tap me nose me.......
.......when the lights go out in the neighbourhood I just lob the wanger out and water the mofos..........feckin huge they are.......the ferns that is............
Forgot to mention the toilets at Charlton, the VAlly circa 1984, supporters segregated but toilets shared It meant that a ruck could be arranged in there, West Ham turned up for one when we were there.

NO ACTUALLY I AM TRYING NOT TO THINK ABOUT THAT ANYMORE.. it hurts and i am still troubled
