Correction to previous review

I agree with the comparison between the Jones Beach and Meadowlands gigs, but I have to correct the linuep. I remember the Jones Beach concert vividly as it was my first time seeing New Order live after years of listening to their music (well 2 years, but hey, I was only 18.) Sugarcubes opened, followed by PIL, and headlined by New Order.

As for the Meadowlands concert, that one was even more memorable and consisted of SunScreem, followed by 808 State, and again headlined by New Order.

Perhaps I am just trying to reaffirm to myself that I am a true fan despite having somehow missed the show at the NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom the night before last (I could kick myself,) but those are the facts ;)

Jones Beach Concert Review.

If my memory serves me right (almost 16 years later) New Order played the open aired Jones Beach ampitheatre on a triple billing with Public Image Limited and Echo and the Bunnymen. New Order was very good but with time constraints had a limited play list. They were the second of three bands performing. I did have a chance to see them again roughly a year or two later at Brendan Byrne Arena at the Meadowlands in New Jersey where they headlined. On this night they were incredible, one of the best concerts I ever saw. Their energy was 5 times that of their Jones Beach performance. My only dissapointment was in New Jersey they didn't play 1963 my favorite of all New Order songs.
