The 14 CDs include three full concerts being released for the first time, alongside several shows previously only partly available through various compilations and collections. The recordings combine sound desk recordings, fan bootlegs, and two archival radio broadcasts from Les Bains Douches in Paris and Amsterdam's Paradiso. Two companion DVDs contribute two and a half hours of previously unseen concert footage and a newly edited version of Joy Division - A Malcolm Whitehead Film. The entire package has been mastered at Abbey Road Studios and includes 16 pages of sleeve notes by Simon Armitage, with photography by Anton Corbijn and Kevin Cummins. The release comes as surviving members prepare for the band's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
