Howdy all,

I just finished composing a cover of IALP, which I'd you all to have a listen to and then tell me how terrible it is. It's too late for the tribute contest, so I just thought I'd share it with you all anyway. It is an instrumental, though, so there's none of Ian's lovely lyrics for me to botch. Let me know what the verdict is.

Following your less than positive introduction I fully expected it to suck, but I thought it was pretty good. It captures the atmospherics very well and adds some good individual touches (same goes for The Eternal).

I wasn't too optimistic after reading the intro either, but I thought it was excellent. I like instrumental covers created on computer, it takes me back to the days of my Amiga 500 computer with Soundtracker software. Four (yes, 4!) channels of sound, but software so user-friendly even I, with no musical ability whatsoever, could knock a respectable enough tune out of it.

I use a program called MTV Music Generator. It's a few years old and has some bugs in it, but it's easy enough to use. I'm still learning how to use it. Only costs 10 bucks, so it's a good investment. More productive than playing normal video games, that's for sure.
