SYLMAR WATER, BABY!!

tristan, i noticed the closer i got to the water processing plant in sylmar, the better the tap water was. i like LA tap MUCH better than san diego tap. sd tap has too much chloriene in it from trying to clean out that colorado river water. yuck...

and as for caipirinha, i've never had it, but i thought it was a lot like rum, no? aren't both from sugar cane?

Has to be beer. Lager to be precise. And has to be ice cold. Nothing quite like a chilled bottle of Stella Artois. On occasions where it has to be non-alcoholic, then Coke will usually get the nod. So I celebrate my 300th post talking about alcohol. Pity I can't actually indulge aswell. :\ohwell:

caipirinha? learn how to do it here

it´s made with Cachaça, that in fact is a brazilian sugarcane liquor, also known as Aguardente. s a spirit distilled from sugarcane. It is one of the most popular drinks in Brazil.

Cachaça is a strong liquor. i remember drinking it once. a friend of mine stood half an hour on EXACLTY the same place and position after drinking one of those!

there´s an option called Caipiroska replacing the Cachaça for vodka.

I thought the poll was about mind-damaging alcohol. If it's not, then my real favorites have to be chocolate soy milk, and fruit juice.

But a good margarita still entices...

Pretty much anything alcohol-wise except for rum, though I go for beer, vodka, and tequila mostly, with a bit of whiskey from time to time.

Voted for coke though in the poll, though I always drink a lot of cranberry juice.

i was obviously thinking of the cachaça as the rum-a-like... i think i'll try one next time i am out drinking. i am working/visiting Boston right now (which has a large brazilian population) so it should be easy to find a bar that'll make me a caipirinha.

do they have horchata in S.A., or is that just a mexican thing? damn, i love that stuff.
