The Royal Mile in the heart of downtown Des Moines was the destination of the Brit Car Club last night. Never been there before. ALOT of beer on tap but i drank 4 pints of Fullers porter ($3 USD each). Bastards played Culture Club and the Smiths but no Order. Quick check of the juke box revealed no Order but a few Oasis and Smiths along with the obligatory Beatles, Led Zep, Who, Bowie ect.
Should I donate a copy of Substance? And London Calling as well, no Clash either?

is Fullers Porter? I know (and love) Fullers ESB and Fullers London Pride, but Fullers Porter? Must be some namby-pamby brew made for the expat market.
presumably a guinness wannabee! porter is a term for very dark ale - barley almost burnt - very close to stout (named cos it was popular with Porter's in London in the older days!!)
