"Britain's fattest city is named

Mancunians appear to be taking their love of "larging it" a bit too literally - by being named Britain's fattest city.

Manchester came out the clear leader in the 2004 "fat list", which examined the health habits of the UK's biggest cities.

The annual report by Men's Fitness magazine found that the second fattest city was Stoke-on-Trent, followed by Liverpool and Swansea in joint third place. The least fat was London, in the last place out of the 22 cities assessed. York did not figure in the list but Leeds was ranked 20th."

Detroit is for 2003. Houston, I think, was listed last year, and Philadelphia in 2000.
