Julio's latest nickname on Blingland......sheer quality. No wonder the postmen don't turn up at his gaff.

hah, nice nym there..."Brazil Postie Watch"...

This should probably go in the Postmen thread, but one idiosyncracy I've noted is that Recife seems not to have any padded envelopes...the natives have to resort to extraordinary measures to protect their wares from the conniving Postmen, I guess. My wife managed to make one disc unplayable by trying to open the tomb-sealed package with a knife...and scratching the topside badly.

Brazilian Postmen must be big New Order fans, I always ended up sending things twice when trading.

More than anything though, it's really bad English, no?

"English don't 'cunt'".

Whatever could he have meant by that? Answers on a postcard please, to the usual address.

I dont think its a verb,i looked it up in the dictionary and it said: CUNT; A person whom causes offence at every given opportunity by talking complete shite. It then used AHW as an example.

 Ian got it right in the first thing he ever said to him!

Looks like Julio got it right then, as what he said was "English don't cause offence at every given opportunity by talking complete shite". Too right.

Actually, "encunt" is a verb meaning the same as "fuck" (or the sex act, as it's more commonly called). I've seen it before (numerous times) in a few Marquis de Sade books. :p

OK, for all you Anglo Saxons who don't have a clue, I bet the clue is in the Section 25 songtitle, "Girls Don't Count".

And no, I don't think it's very clever wordplay .

A Gaelic programme currently transmits in Scotland called "cunntas". I am sure Ikea could come up with a product range called "Kuntor"
