It looks like a UK gold list to me.
Yes minister, I now appreciate that, Sir Humphry .. quality
I'll get me slippers
Pretty obvious Only Fools and Horses was gonna win, after all who**doesnt** like it? I was suprised Fawlty Towers came in so low too,Youre spot on about VOD though-its shit!
Gotta say I dont like only fools, tedious now. That xmas special, just tired .... I know I'll be in a minority here, but it just fuckin drags. I always feel I'm being told to accept David Jason as a genius/great, as if it's beyond debate. Used to feel the same about John Thaw and Morse, moody twat, spires, body and a bit more moody with the auf weidersein fella... so ?

He's not though, is he? He's a comedy actor. He doesn't write this stuff himself like the Pythons did, he's just reading other people's words.
OF&H was classic tv (that 89 series when they turned 'em into 50min episodes and Del turned into a yuppy can never be bettered), but the constant rehashing of it just seems to have soured it somewhat. This year's Xmas special, as garymac said, was just dire. And to throw something into the boiling pot like Del & Rodney not being 'full' brothers, after 20 years of this being on telly just seemed ridiculous.
The Vicar of Dibley though, who on earth voted for that?! ![]()
Al mate,hi IS the lost member of Monty Python-he chose to leave before the films though. Check it out, you`ll see i speak the truth.:)

ME!!!
its a shame they limited this poll to british sitcoms only coz there have been some crackers from all over the world really.
i know a lot of the u.s. stuff has been over sentimental, patronising stuff ect ,much like whats being pumped out in uk at the moment but who could argue that married with children was nothing short of bloody genius at times.
peggy asking al to rub her feet gets a look of digust from al who then quips "i wouldnt rub them feet if a genie popped out of em"![]()
or even the simpsons
what with homer losing his licence and when asked to hand it over by the judge she chops it in half with a mini guilotine on her desk, then feeds it to 2 rabid dogs at the side of her and instructs the court clerk to burn their poop.
now thats comedy not the half arsed worn out seen it all before pap that made up half the list in the top ten.
whom i kidding 90 % of the list in fact.

This used to be on late at night in the UK years back. Some classic stuff, Al Bundy was absolutely hilarious. A true folk hero. Christina Applegate was pretty tasty aswell.
Originally posted by Digital Mike Binoche A pathetic list, where the fcuk is THE OFFICE ?
It's there in the top 100, just never made the top 10.
Considering that Vic of Dib came in 3rd, and Dad's Army 4th you have to wonder what sort of people actually voted on this?! Are all our Senior Citzens netted up nowadays?!
These should've been a lot higher IMHO:
16 Men Behaving Badly 17 Absolutely Fabulous 18 Red Dwarf 36 Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights 45 Bottom 47 The Brittas Empire
Netted up ? Me mam is, 67 years young . She would have voted for Father Ted though, possibly Ab Fab and Yes Minister. Lately though she's taken to US crime stuff, CSI and that I digress
Carry on
Only fools voted for the one with horses in the title.
Father Ted should have won. I like the Vicar of Dibley, don't think it is genuinely in the ten best UK though !
Down this way, my UK TV faves have been the likes of Black Adder, The Office and The Royle Family. Bottom was quality, The Goodies seemed to be gold when I was a tyke but sheez it hasn't aged well. What about Monte Python's Flying Circus?
Moreover, what about the longest running piece of situational comedy of them all.. The English cricket team? Very consistent quality, laughs guaranteed. Always bowls me over, 'arf 'arf.
:\pimp3:
Chance in a Million should have made the 100, Ever Decreasing Circles and Dear John deserve more credit. Hi de Hi and Last of the Summer Wine
some of the most painful tv in history.
