CALGARY!

yes...they just won the match...so what's happening in this one...will the Lightning win game 6, and Calgary in game 7, since it's been an every other game thing...

personally, I'd love to see the Flames win it at home...but that's just me....

I thought before the game started that whichever team won tonight would win the series....let's see if I end up being correct...

GO FLAMES!!!!

Yes!!!!!

I have never been so scared about a game in my life. Alot of people here in Calgary felt if we lost today it would be over. It looked like Tampa Gay (oops I mean Tampa bay) were going to do it in OT.

I can't believe we are 1 game away from the cup. I sooo hope we do it in Calgary. It would mean so much for the city.

I thought it was funny to see Tampa give away free $2.00 white shirts to show the city has spirit, when Calgary does all on their own, with $110.00 jerseys. You can never match Calgary. And the Saddledome sold out tonight $5.00 a ticket to watch the game on big screen tv.

Did anybody see Darrel Sutter's interview. Very funny, its going to cost him a fine after the finals, but its worth it.

Well the city is going wild, I'm sure there will be new photos in Flamesgirls.com after tonight  (I wouldn't even touch one of these girls)

What a game, what about iggy's goal!!!!! and i must say i picked saprykin before OT started to score the goal, right after the game i went to play the Lottery so if my luck holds up and i hit tomorrow the first thing i am doing is taking a trip to calgary. flames dominated the first half of the game, but they lost a lot of steam in thew 3rd, the goalies in this series have been awesome!!!!i figures saprykin would score because he was working so hard all night long nice to see it payed off for him, jim were you at the saddeldome?

No I'm afraid I was not at the Saddledome. :( But I do have a 57" widescreen tv so It was quit nice to watch hockey on that. I was going to try and get tickets to the next game, but they sold out faster then I could turn on my computer. This year is different, the only way to get tickets is by computer or phone.

I had to pick up my wife after the game from work and the streets were packed with people standing by the road cheering for the flames and people honking their car horns as they drive by. totally wild. And they had to close down a major sreet in the downtown so people could party. Last night there were over 65000 people on the street (They now call it the red mile) and they said they are expecting over 100 000 people if the Flames win Saturday. This is much bigger then 1989, I think because we were expected to win in 1989, and this year we were lucky to make the playoffs.

If you win the money and come to Calgary, I will take you to the red mile (The Flamesgirls are there  ) Good luck getting tickets for the game. I hear they are going for $2000.00 on the net, and people from Australlia are bidding on them. But hey get me a ticket too!

If anybody wants to read local news on the flames, just goto www.calgarysun.com or www.calgaryherald.com the sun is better.

Sweet!

Well they already closed off the red mile road for tonight, and getting everything ready for the big party. Everyone here feels they will do it tonight.

Hey Seb the NDP leader has now put on the jersey, so that just leaves the Bloc.

The paper today is now calling the Flames "Canada's team". Is that really true for the east? Mostly Quebec.?

Go Flames go

Great, why don't they give the cup to BOTH teams.

Mid feelings.... losing to the Stanley Cup champs would ease the pain, plus Tampa has so many people from Quebec, it's hard not to take for them.

But well, the way this serie goes, Calgary will win it next game.. it's been switching side each time!!

I had to take a day off to get over the loss. Never have I taken a game loss so hard. When I went to work it was a very depressing mood. Anyways its a new day and no madder what its over tonight.

Well here is new stat for you. The Flames this year have sold more Jerseys then any other team in the history of the NHL. (Yes that means more people wear Flames Jerseys then any other jersey)

And if the flames do win, if anybody wants to watch the big party from downtown Calgary on the net, just goto www.theredmile.ca and you will be able to catch the action from a web cam.

Well for the last time: Go Flames Go

Andreychuk deserved a Cup, and I bet Richards will have fun touring the Cup 'round Prince Edwards Island. I didn't like the officiating, especially that penalty that ended up giving the Flames a goal. Anyways it's a shame Iginla didn't win, and good luck next year!

I hope Richards will be with the cup in PEI in july as I'll be there :p

Incredible season by Tampa Bay, their turnover was a game against the Habs when the owner gave the players their last chance to do something before doing a cleanup.

I remember clearly we lost the game very badly even though the Habs were in their peak of the season, it's the only game they lost in that sequence..

Tampa never looked back, won the conference championship, eliminated by beloved Habs on their way to the cup.

Kudos to them!

And well, beating ANOTHER division champion was just too much for Calgary, coming so close and biting the dust must be a horrible feeling, but well, they'll have the chance to win it back!

Now.. when will be the next game of NHL hockey? :confused2:

Wow, what a brutal mistake on the Tampa Tribune's part !!!

In any case, there's a strange rumor going around to the effect that the man who calls himself Jim "The Him" might have committed suicide.

D'you think he'll end up in hell with Flames Girls?

:love2: :smoking: :love2: :evil3:

What was your team before our beloved Nordiques moved out there? :confused2: The Devils? (ex-Rockies)

Beloved, because we missed the Habs-Nordiques rivalry, the best there will ever be!
