Caught them at Edinburgh on Saturday, they were sublime. Quite possibly one of the best gigs i have been to since I saw the Order in '84.

If you haven't got their debut album, buy it now. They kind of remind me of NO circa 'Ceremony' and perhaps a bit of the Bunnymen, but they are really beyond comparison.

Play 'lately' and 'Carrion' of their long player at full volume and it will blow you away.

After the support went off, Age of Consent was the first record played between sets - kwality :thumb:

You've just reminded me - was gonna check out their London gig next week to 'see what all the fuss was about' (as I think the album's absolutelty dire, but they're apparently must be one of those bands that has to be seen live).

However, it's sold out. Typical. Only date they have sold out.

Am I the only one who doesn't like them at all?

My jury's out on them. Have the album, it's yet to inspire me in the way it has some other people on here.

agreed. although their first single "lovely day tomorrow" is undoubtedly fantastic!

I can't say either way...I don't think I've heard anything...I guess I could try checking some sources...

Haven't formed much of an opinion on them as well, only thing I've heard is their cover of Galaxie 500's Tugboat, which is pretty decent actually. Seen the album in the racks for a decent price, just haven't picked it up yet.

You`re not alone on this. Although the more i hear a band the more they grow on me. But im not keen either.

found Spirit of St. Louis and Apologies To Insect Life...

uhm...this isn't my cup of tea...

now if this had been out say...in the early to mid 90's...might have been a different story...when the order wasn't giving me anything new...and I was listening to JAMC...Ministry...it might have made more of an impression on me...

oh well...at least I don't have to wonder if I would like them any longer...
