Personally, I live to eat the livers of my enemies. Now if I am out of food I will cut off as much meat as I can and bbq it. But eating the liver makes one stronger and a better warrior.

Well, that is what I did when I fought the US in the jungle.

These tamales sound much more homey and traditional than Hannibal's Chianti dish.

What really sucks about this is that I have a theory that Mexican restuarants are better than Asian. For example, there are more articles on the internet about Asian restuarants doign sick shit--i.e. dogs in freezer, buckets of pork blood, recycling rice and drinks ect. ALSO serice is so much better in a Mexican place--free chips, faster service and many refills. I always get poor service in an Asian place, most are rude.

Usually the Asian restaurants get lower Health dept. grades than Mexican restaurants.

One of the reasons behind Asians failing health inspections is that many are started by recent immigrants and ran by recent immigrants who are not accustomed to US and State health codes. So are Mexican rests. But why are Mexicans more compliant with the health codes?? Maybe because dog and cat are not traditional recipes for flour/corn tortillas and beans??

But this is not a US phenominanananana. The Asian place busted for recycling rice and drinks (scraping rice off a used dirty plate into the pot of new unserved rice and draining a half finished Pepsi into another customer's glass) came from Norway. Vancouver was the location of the Asian resturant that had skinned coyote carcases in their freezer.

I'll stick to beef, rice and beans.

I LUURVE a good Asian vegetarian restaurant, so coyotes, dogs and cats won't be appearing on my plate...

But recycled rice? That's a little too much, even for EARTH DAY. Let's just stick to recycling glass, shall we?

Seeing as how my job lets me get into the back of the house at many, many restaurants, I've gotta say that I've noticed more things like the cooks smoking whilst they are cutting some pork up occur in Chinese restaurants. Laughed to myself fairly loudly about a month ago, when the owner of one of the locals was running around sweating trying to explain everything to the health inspector, while having to dump some food out that had been sitting out a long time. There was also a story about how another Chinese joint had used some of the ducks from the lake across the street in their restaurant rather than buying them from a vendor.

I have nothing to say about Mexican restaurants round here, cause I've never seen anything bad at all in my 10 years.

I know, from my experience working at Haagen-Dazs ice cream parlor, that managers usually become fairly paranoid when health inspectors or L&I come by. Usually, the basement was fairly filthy (the two times I had to mop it, I saw two rats down there), we wiped counters with a dirty rag a few times, and more than once, when we had rotten bananas, customers had the brief chance to find flies in the store (but not in their sundaes). We never reused anything and when the neighborhood had a power outtage, the manager didn't re-freeze all of the ice cream, but the store was never spotless, until L&I checked the neighborhood and our manager freaked out.
