Ron O'Sullivan has got to the final of the world snooky thing, he has beaten the living daylights out of his opponent who has vowed never to play again and take up darts instead.

Now... I thought Mass and curling were boring but this is excrutiating.

Oh well, some people watch curling and bowling (and worst.. mini-putt!) so I'm not surprised!

:nono: what will we find if we start digging into your family's dark secrets :evil4:

anyway, I'm supporting Dott today (reluctantly) 'cause he's from the good country (reluctantly because he supports the huns... but we'll forgive him if he wins  )

as for boring to watch, the Rocket - Hendry match maybe, but Stevens - Dott was nailbiting stuff :thumb:

Snooker is great, i love playing it and i love watching it and the world championship is in my home city of Sheffield :thumb:

Anyone who saw the 1985 final could never say it was boring, 18 million people watched that one. I was only 5, but i remember it!

Snooker Loopy then Major. The final in '85 that Taylor won on the black was compulsive viewing. Some classic encounters in those days with characters like Alex Higgins and Steve Davis;)around. Favourite game would be Higgins beating White in the '82 semi-final, Higgins then going on to win his 2nd World title 10 years after his 1st.

I am cheering on the Rocket in the final, I just cannae bring masel to cheer on that horrible hun, it's bad enough when my favourite player (Stephen Hendry) is a CLOSET hun. John Higgins spilled the beans in an interview with the Celtic view not long back. But fair play to Polka, he's certainly making a game of it:nod: Other than the 85 final, I think it was the 94 final which had the best snooker ever played, Hendry was 16-8 down and rolled off 10 frames on the trot to finish Jimmy White, and most of them 10 frames were won with breaks over 100. Class.

My favourite moments were the 5 minute 147 break by Ronnie that I watched live and when Ken Doherty missed the black off the spot for a 147. I laughed so much i was nearly sick.
