They come to Montreal, November 26th.

Funny thing is that they are going at the University of Montreal CEPSUM, the last place New Order played (if they did the Montreal 89 gig, which is something nobody seems to know for sure)...

Should I go?

I only know one song from them, Where Is My Mind.... :confused2:

If I were you... I'd go!! You won't regret.

BTW, I'm going to see them this Saturday!! Moi and Ricardo are flying to Curitiba tomorrow... sole concert in Latin America.

Gigantic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes you should. If they are in good shape you will be glad, I think . I hope you like rough guitars. Once the Pixies' frontman said "pixies is dead", all the more Iam glad they have risen from the dead.

I was just talking to a friend of mine who went and saw them in Vancouver recently. Apparently, it was best show he'd ever seen. I'm seeing them in Seattle in September and can't wait! Anyone (I'm looking your way, Brian) going to be in town for that show (at Bumbershoot)?

Pixies is great, song as Velouria, Here comes your man, This monkey is gone to heaven, and many others....

Frank Blank (singer) also did a nice work, but without the same stile.

Unfortunately, just one concert in Latin America (Curitiba) :(

Gimme two days and I'll tell you if it's worth it or not.

I've downloaded the first two gigs of the reunion tour and from what I've heard so far I think it's going to be spectacular!

Two Pixies CDs copied for Bristol Order, will be posted this weekend (i.e. tomorrow morning). Doesn't help me much on the copying front when I am away from home half the week (as I was last night, those expecting me to be at Turnmills). I'll have to get a job that doesn't expect me to be halfway across the country at an hour's notice.

Can't wait for the Brixton gig - what could be better than walking out of your last exam, walking into one of the fine taverns (!) by Ashton Gate, and switching on your phone to find a text saying there's a spare ticket going for the gig?

Big thanks to Hibster/Jarvo - shaping up to be a good 'un!

Looking forward to Saturday 5th June immensely. Getting some good reports of this tour.

Heard any of the bootlegs, Tim? Got a nice one of the first night. The main set seems to be the same 20-odd songs but the encores vary.

Haven't yet - been monitoring the setlist changes on a message board, but haven't heard the gigs.

You can download the one I'm on about HERE, or not, if you don't want to spoil the surprise!

It's a good quality recording, btw.

Wouldn't knock the Pixies but he has the Beach boys on his list and New Order and Joy Division. He passes my taste test.

I wasnt been too serious. i think the pixies are seriously overrated though. must be tough for their 'ard core fans seein all these newbies jumpin on the pixies bandwagon once they decide to reform.

Imagine: noone giveth a shit about the pixies for the best part of a decade (except you), when they finally decide to return, the only chance you have of seeing them is with 50000 other punters supporting the red hot chilli peppers

(err, sounds a bit like neworder)

ive always found the pixies kind of soulless.
