New Musical Forum on NewOrderOnline

Don't you think this forum is a bit superfluous? I mean, most of the stuff on the off-topic forum is either music, football, beer, porn, or (god forbid) politics, but do we really have to dice things up so much and give a forum to everything? You've dealt a great blow to the off-topic forum, and it just won't be as much fun to sift through all the shit anymore.

i agree with the pope. considering all the cure morrissey pixies kraftwerk and other bands are off-topic from new order/joy div and related projects, it made sense being in that forum.

Funny that when I suggested a music forum as separate from the BCD, a few months ago, it was dismissed as being unnecessary. I shall therefore treat this one as unnecessary ;)

Yeah, I say leave it like it was. Music other than NO/JD is off-topic anyway, while JD/NO is in the on-topic forum, so this one is entirely unnecessary. Most threads, no matter how they start, end up spiraling into discussions of the usual off-topic things (music, football, beer, porn, etc.), so there would be lots of confusing shuffling of threads back and forth between forums. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I think it's a good idea for a separate non-NO music forum. I sometimes post on Aussie band The Church's HotelWomb site, and they've got 25 different forums, all named after songs of the band, though some of the lesser ones include the testing forum, as well as one for bad experiences with traders.

Unnecessary or not (I think I said I couldn't see the point last time this came up) it's had two pages of topics posted on it in the week or so since I last came on here. So, I'd better make a maiden post, just to show willing obviously. Otherwise it will be taken over by a bunch of people who only like New Order ;)
