Telford United have today gone bust, is this the start of a collapse of badly run clubs, who next, Bradford City, Leeds United, or fingers crossed Stoke City?

Shrewsbury fans will be happy then.

Morgan's already got what he wanted, his derisory offer could only have been intended to cause maximum disruption to the club and destabilise Houllier's position. Who knows if that will prove to be in the clubs best interests? Either way he's shown himself to be only interested in his own personal agenda.

Isn't it about time you brushed that red & white striped chip off your shoulder, mate?

Fuck Telford. We played 'em in the FA Trophy a few years ago, and our away support of 1200 was 300 more than they had at the game. Their trappy fans argued that it wasn't a significant game to them, so they hadn't bothered.

A pity that this had to happen to any club, but of all the clubs in the country, I couldn't have wished for a nicer club for it to happen to. They won't be missed in these parts.

Sorry Doctor, no team deserves to go bust, not even local rivals, Telford's message board had a lot of support messages from Shrewsbury fans, its always the fans that suffer.

More to the point, with the bastard Shrews getting promoted, no local derby for Hereford. Telford is a shithole though, so perhaps the players can find somewhere nicer to live now (like Margate or Woking).

I'll second that: I do feel sorry for Telford, and I went down the Buck's Head a few times to watch me mate Andy Cooke play for 'em in the early 90s, but Telford itself is a hellhole: the most soulless, insipid pit in the country if you ask me....
