Hey up mate, remember talking to me a few months ago about my girlfriend and I haveing a night out in Liverpool and wanting to visit a comedey club, well after a few postponements we are making the trip. I remember you mentioned to me where there was a comedey club in Liverpool city center, I just cant remember where abouts you meant, any chance you could jog my memory, cheers.

Yeah, it's the Rawhide Comedy Club at the Albert Dock. Good night we had anyway. Stick to pitchers of ale though works out cheaper. Did you get the accomodation sorted? I remember you were looking for a room. Lot of activity down the Docks at the moment what with the Summer Pops and the Mersey River Festival.

Not got a room sorted yet, we were going to try and book a room on-line for one of the hotels on the Albert Dock, but with all the events that are on that you mentioned it might prove difficult. Slightly off subject, when you go Goodison, do you ever drink in a pub called The Spellow thats accros the road from the ground, when we (Crewe Alex) played the blues in a cup game a couple of seasons back, this boozer opened its doors to us at 10.30 on Sunday morning, we had a top session in there, the Everton boys were sound and the staff in pub were great.

Have been known to visit the Spellow on match day. Used to go to the Black Horse which is further up the road. Didn't see too many matches last season since the littl'un was born.

Casey, whats Hatton Garden like, this is where our room is booked, I think its only a couple of minutes walk from Lime Street?

It's a pretty smart location, Dale Street is in the heart of the business area, still loads of bars on your doorstep and only a short walk to anywhere really. Lime street isn't actually that close, if you've only got hand luggage you could walk it.

The best side of the town IMHO.Quite a few backstreet pubs, always quality. The Slaughterhouse in Fenwick Street is ok. Nice eateries in Victoria Street as well. The Vernon Arms in Dale Street is alright as well.

Matthews Street and the Cavern etc is close by to aint it? I don't think we will be going by train now, looking at the map, it would be better to drive up the Wirral and then go through the tunnel which would bring us out pretty central to where the hotel is. Cheers for the information lads.

P.S Casey, it looks like Crewe Alex will be playing Everton in a pre season freindly, the local press are already predicting a full house at the Alexandra Stadium due to some young lad Everton have on there books!!
