well...I hope this one goes over better than the failure that was the Americanized version of Coupling...

of course, I can't recall if the BBC had anything to do with this crap version...

nice to see that it's set in Denver as well...I'd prefer Dallas, but Eastern Dallas isn't exactly a place anyone would want to go...unless poverty, crime and gangs are your cup of tea...

holy shit. and taking place in my hometown, as well! i used to live in east denver for a while. it's primarily chicano--even the billboards are in spanish.

of course it's going to be crap. no babs windsor, no queen vic. it seems like every new american show is a rip-off of a british show. i'm just waiting for some station to debut 'the office,' starring tim allen as david brent and screech from 'saved by the bell' as gareth.

long live the real 'eastenders'!

Screech as Gareth? Jeez, that's a frightening thought, I suppose they'd go for somebody like Pamela Anderson as Lucy as well.

pamela anderson would bring out that WKRP vibe, wouldn't she?

but who would play tim?

First name (or person) that popped into my head is Chris O'Donnell, is that the right name? He was quite good portraying earnestness in Scent Of A Woman, though he was quite dreadful (hell, that whole damn movie was) in the Batman with George C. as the caped crusader.
