What do all the Americans have planned for today? I'll be going to a free fireworks (yes, some shows here do cost money, unless you choose to park a mile way and not mind a crappy view) show up the hill near me.

Nice diplomatic touch there Tristan ![]()
Myself, I'm gonna go watch the Euro finals in Portland, some baseball this afternoon thanks to the free MLB.tv pass that Comcast has sent to its users, over to the parents in the early evening for food and to watch the local fireworks here; they've got a good view.
Oh yeah, I'll be pulling for Greece ![]()

I'll be cheering for Greece too; if France has to lose to anyone it may as well be to the Euro 2004 winners.
I'll be working at my stupid job for 5 hours. Then probably driving down south and running around on a beach blowing shit up. The beach is literally like a warzone on the 4th, with stuff shooting every which way; I got struck in the hand by a bottle rocket last year (left a welt).
I did the fireworks show in Addison last night...they always do it on the 3rd for some reason...good enough for me, since I only had to hobble two blocks up the street to get a wonderful view...
been watching Brit-coms on my local PBS station all morning...seems they have been showing them for 35 years now, and are doing a two day thing where they show one episode of every show they have ever broadcast...I'm going to be watching the Euro 2004 Final on my television...then tonight...I'm sure I'll drink a few beers...
Hmmm...looks like I'm being very American today!!!:p
My family has been burning British flags and efigies of the Royal Family. We start yell "DEATH TO THE GREAT SATAN UK!!" whenever a tv film crew comes by. We go around screaming in the streets firing off AK 47s and beating our chests proclaiming death to the British Satans and God is great.
Now in fantasy land, sent my wife and kids to the beach. When they return I will make a run to the state border and purchase fireworks and then blow shit up all night. My neighborhood has been sounding like Beruit for a few days. I do not dare let my cats out and my dog is barking non stop because of all the fireworks.
I will be purchasing mortars, sort of semi-professional fireworks with a very loud BOOOM and a pretty explosion in the sky.

Im doing pretty much the same thing....Brit coms on PBS since 6pm last night...they are doing a 36 hour marathon, so Ive had no sleep.....soon Ill be off to my fav. Irish pub to watch Euro 2004 Final on the big screen, while eating fish and chips. Ive never really gotten into the whole 4th of July BS. I happen to love mother England!
Never had time to drive to get fireworks. Left over bottle rockets will have to do. So instead I drove my British car to the shooting range where me and one of my sons fired off 60 rounds of Yugoslavian 8mm with my German rifle.

I went to work today, only to find out that we were understaffed. Working at an ice cream parlor on a spot that tourists frequent on every weekend is rather annoying but during the fouth of July in Philadelphia, it can possitively be purgatory, especially when your boss is too lazy to help you out. A half hour before I was about to leave, the lyrics from True Faith started playing in my head: "I used to think that this day would never come." But, since I now work at both Haagen-Dazs and Dairy Queen, I couldn't complain. If I were at Dairy Queen for 6 hours today, I probably would've strangled some customer who gave me a hard time.
watched the universal studios fireworks show from our backyard, then went downtown to the club. it was way too crowded, as it usually is on the sunday nights before monday holidays. lost interest around 2:00 and came back here to screw around on the computer.
fahrenheit 9/11 matinee tomorrow with the folks to show that real gung-ho spirit!
I went bowling, did very crappily, and my friend's spark plugs weren't hitting, so we had to wait an hour to get the damn Jeep towed and to get us back home. Great night overall.
