but I have just been informed that I am to make a trip to Houston next week to see Everton play two Mexican clubs...

Club America on Thursday...then against Pachuca (I hope I spelled that correctly) on Sunday...

dammit, there are indeed some really nice people in this world...

well, if you have to choose go and watch Everton-América. known as "the eagles", América is the most popular team in Mexico. Pachuca is a middle-of-the-league team, on the other hand.

if not, you can choose by their colors.

América

Pachuca

Well...Green and BLT and BLT's missus should be there...I sent Allan the 4 tickets I had purchased for our little group...so it appears they have a spare...you should go meet up with them ID...

and you just don't know how tempted I am to toss that Doctor's advice right out the window and get on that plane and make my way up to Seattle...of course...the word death keeps popping back in my head...so I reckon we will just drive down to Houston instead!!!

Thank you Jeff, tickets arrived today, along with (finally) the new Maxim with that ol' Russian tennis has been Anna on the cover.

Yes, there is one spare ticket available at this point, I thought Jeff might wanna keep it as a souvenir or something, and I'll probably send it back to him if no one else wants to go.

It's supposed to be about 8 degrees hotter this weekend than it was for last year's match so since it starts at 1 pm, we'll get to sit in the sun and work on our tans, so win or lose, it will still be a lovely weekend in a lovely part of the country.

Don't worry about sending it back Allan...I printed two sets of tickets, so I've still got a full bleeding set!!!

I think that I will frame them and put 'em on the wall!!! or sell them on e-bay, and let your group and their group sort it out!!!:p

Looks like the match will attract 60,000 plus on Saturday, according to one of the local papers in a column today, very nice job thanks to the local population and to the many fans who will trek here. Hadn't heard that M. O'Neill wouldn't be making the trip though, best wishes to his wife. :thumb:

sorry mate...I didn't mean to dismiss your team...it's just all things being equal, I'd much rather be seeing Celtic...it will still be the best football I've seen in person in 2004!!!:thumb:

Just read that story - good write up for the Celtic fans at the bottom of the page, brings back memories of last year:)
