I have several Neworder WMV or AVI files - I want to put them to VCD, but unfortunately these files are not supported by the version of Nero I have.
Anyone got any programmes I can *ahem* borrow to change WMV and AVI files to MPEG?

Depends which codec is used for your AVI Shug...
If they are in DivX, Nero SHOULD read them.
I am using WinDVD Creator by InterVideo to do my DVDs and it supports the VCD, maybe you should give it a look... I had my share of problems with the latest Nero.

Email me if you need anything... or you can upload the files directly to me and I can put them on DVD directly, I'm all equiped!! (should even be able to burn DVDs in PAL)
Cheers Nic - but my computer doesn't even play DVD's - it's an old version computer and only has windows 98.
I just need some kind of converter to change avi / wmv to mpeg's for the version of nero I have. I have left you another message explaining

Adobe Audition is for audio only.
Usually Nero is quite good, so maybe it's because you don't have DivX installed?
For WMV, that's more complicated though...
