Still sold him on the drip though. 10 million now. 10 milion next fucking August. 5 million now will go to the bank so we have 5 million in January to buy some other bargain basement load of shite. Kenwright should have stuck for 25 million up front then the appearance fees etc after. We're still no better off. Division one whatever it's called this week beckons I'm afraid.
Wayne Rooney: Newcastle Bound?...

I predicted before the start of the season the bottom 3 of the final Premiership table would be: 20. Crystal Palace, 19. Norwich City, 18. Portsmouth or Everton.
I think Everton would be struggling to stay in the Premier this season even if they had kept Rooney...
I think there will be three worse teams than Everton at least - the Baggies, Norwich and Palace immediately spring to mind, and I can't see Southampton sustaining much this season. Keegan's lot will leak again, and Pompey will struggle again.

Maybe, maybe not. One thing is certain the club is in complete disarray.![]()

Nope. West Brom are the new Bolton, a surprise team who get a little bit better every season. They'll do OK, they won't get relegated, I guarantee it.
Keegan should have left those losers at Man City & rejoined Newcastle. I doubt he would have done anything at St. James Park this time round, but the fans would have got a brief kick out of his appointment. More so than Crappy Souness, that's for sure!
I think Southampton will be OK, they're just one of those teams that never get relegated.

That's Everton though, isn't it ? Have they been down since the war ?

Good point, but I think it's Everton's turn before Southampton. For years there's been teams that have stayed in the top flight for decades, then finally get relegated after season after season of near-misses. Coventry, West Ham, Leeds...

After the Hammers went back up to the top-flight in, I think, the early `90's they managed to survive about 10 years or so before being relegated again.
