Ok they are playing "Run" (nice NO cross reference) by Snow Patrol out here quite a bit...its a decent little song and definitely reminds me of the whole early 90's shoegazer sound...
Question is...does anyone own the album? Is it worth picking up?

MTV2? they have a second channel? Dear God no.
They're alright. The album is instantly catchy though which is always a sign that I'll not be playing it in three months time. I prefer an album to take ages to grow on me. I thought "Lost Souls" by Doves (aye Muffy, your copy!) was rotten and didn't listen too it for about two years. Tried it again and realised it is in fact a work of genius.
Same for the "Lost In Translation" soundtrack. Has anyone got that? Deffo my album of the year so far. And probably worth a thread of it's own if I could be arsed!

Love "Lost Souls", brilliant album, you should check out "The Last Broadcast" as well, took me ages to get into it, but i love it now. Kevin Shields (from My Bloody Valentine) contributes 5 tracks to the "Lost In Translation" OST, any good?
Spitting Games is a great single, far better than Run or Chocolate. Oh,and Final Straw is thier 3rd album.

Yes indeed, one very fine soundtrack. Opted for the vinyl version though, the album cover is the opening scene from the movie, doubly nice in my book. ![]()
Is the songs for Polar Bears cd by them ?? If so i picked it up last week but haven't got round to listening to it yet
Can't say they've pressed any of my buttons yet, but give them time. Took me nearly 118 years to like Bob Dylan.

Yep, it is indeed! Don't have it myself but it's on my already-way-too-long wants list.
Spitting Games was a nice radio single, Run has a pretty good video and is a decent song. But I do not have an urge to go buy their most recent album.

Conor, are we agreeing again? How terribly dangerous.
Snow patrol are a great big pile of wank. For some reason, i have seen them four times, i paid for them specifically once, the Belfast gig this year, and all i saw was a lot of crowd arse kissing. Pretty bad when you say Mandela Hall is your best gig ever...
