ok, i'm off to south florida tomorrow to escape the hurricane. this is getting f@#king annoying! i waited in line for half an hour to get gas this evening as most gas stations were out; the turnpike's been a parking lot all day. let's hope traffic is better tomorrow when i leave.
two level 4s in 3 weeks! there'll be nothing left of central florida!

Isn't South Florida also at risk for the hurricane? I say you should go back to Colorado.

Good luck...I actually thought about you around noon today when I saw the weather forecast on the television in the lounge...if you are lucky, the high pressure system will break down and the dang hurricane will drift harmlessly into the Atlantic!

Obviously, God is pissed at the Bush clan, and is punishing humanity with a plague of hurricanes.
The only solution is to tar and feather Jeb Bush, before sacrificing him on a large bonfire on the beach. This may appease God into sparing the lives of innocent Floridians, and may also serve as inspiration for dealing with the rest of the Bush clan.
Hurricanes, humidity, gators, Cubans, retired New Yorkers, retired Germans ect, sounds like Hell to me.

It must suck indeed AW. Hoping you make it through OK. I read something else today, and a Bank Of America employee was talking about how his bank had run out of money.
i'm in north florida and most of the area still doesn't have electricity - the company i work for has been closed because of no electricity; there's a generator to run essentials (computers), but not the airconditioning. so miracle of miracles, we have been excused from work tuesday and today - i went down to saint augustine today and most businesses are still dark, closed and boarded up. schools are out until friday. every other traffic light is still out. i went to publix today and all the perishables were thrown out and they were running off generators too. overall, northeast florida came off significantly better then further south of here...

Of course, it's now a tropical storm, but still, it's here!!
