Yes, but several other NOOLers live on the east coast. And, Philadelphia isn't that far from most of New Jersey, although I can't help think of the "Toxic Avenger" movies when I think about NJ.

I suggest all the NJ detractors come & visit the nice areas of the state (such as the one I'll be living in) before they tar the whole state with the "Newark brush". At least all the places I've slagged off before I've actually been to, unlike these NOOL gobshites who probably see a bad part of NJ on the telly every so often, then assume the whole state is a shithole. It's alright, me & Spike know the real deal!

NJ isn't a "shit hole," it's just boring. Aside from cruddy cities like Newark and Camden, most of the state seems to be one long stretch of suburbia between Philadelphia and New York.

I'm sure New Jersey isn't "boring" throughout. Besides, some people may enjoy miles of suburbia. God knows, living where I have for the past 24 years, I'm looking forward to finally moving to a decent area.

don't be fooled by illinois. aside from chicago, everthing else is in my opinion, boring. even people who live about 50 miles away say they are from chicago because they don't like admitting they are from minooka or some place like that. i met someone who was from gary, indiana who said he was from chicago. much better here than in iowa (no offense twist) or wisconsin or indiana. california i think is interesting. earthqaukes, land slides, wild fires, san diego, LA, etc...

how can a city so small be the murder capital of the US a few years ago. needed gas on a way back to chicago from ohio, next exit was gary, i kept on driving. :)

The best thing about New Jersy is the New Jersy Turnpike. Ie you get to where you want to go without actually spending too much time in NJ.

Ok that's probably a bit harsh. You do have a quite nice rear side view of the Statue of Liberty, and a few nice beaches.

I don't really know. I don't know if a full state can be fully interesting, especially since PA is mostly farmland, which the exception of Philly and Pittsburgh.

I can visit Chicago anytime I want. but if I moved there my cost of living would go up, my vehicles probably would fail emission testing and I have to surrender my guns. Right now I live with reasonable driving distances from chicago, KC and Minneapolis with none of the bullshit from actually having to live there.

BTW, been to Jesery, father's family is from NYC.
