Just watched "Nine Songs"... an interesting movie.
Here's the plot from IMDB:
"Love story about a young couple in London, Matt and his American girlfriend Lisa. The explicit sex scenes are intercut with scenes from live performances by Primal Scream, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Franz Ferdinand."
The film is only 1 hour long... an excelent decision, since it doesn't have a script.
And there is alsso Michael Nyman on it.
The man's a monster lately, cranking 'em out. Just read in Sight and Sound about a new one he's got planned after that. Actually, he's got a whole article featuring him in the new Sight and Sound...but very little mention of 24HPP.

Gee... what an argument to include explicit sex.. at least if you do it, do a REAL movie so people won't focus on that aspect only!!!
His "In this world" was very impressive. I want to see his new work. But it seems his new one is a short film. huh...
Winterbottom is great - the British Howard Hawks.
David - what kind of extortionate price do you have to pay for S&S in the States, and do you have a U.S. equivalent????

I don't pay for Sight and Sound luckily, since I read it in the university library. Film Comment is a good magazine that's somewhat similar. The library here also gets Film Quarterly and Cineaste, but that's it as far as film-only publications--and those two are pretty dry, scholarly reading most of the time, not the sort of thing I usually tend to dive into while killing time between classes. Two of my professors have a review of Jane Campion's 'In the Cut' coming out in Film Quarterly in the near future; thankfully, the review is quite readable. Isn't your article on 'Gladiator' (with the hilarious Joy Division in-joke in it) coming out in that book this month?
