baseball post season...

who do you think will advance further, win the world series and all that jazz?

from the AL, Boston will go far. I want to see them win it all. In the NL, I cannot see anyone beating St. Louis. However, Houston is on an amazing roll. OK, i'll say Boston and St. Louis in the World Series, and Cards win it all.

Tristan, nice way for the dodgers to clinch the division!!! Hope they go far. Id love to see them in the world series.

I'd like to see the Dodgers make it, I'm sick of all these fucking "wildcard" wins. It's great for one year, maybe two, but now we need to let it come down to the overal league leaders. That's what the Series is about. I'm not saying get rid of the wildcard, just let the league cmaps duel it out.

That being said, I'd like to see Boston get to the Series, but I doubt they can match up against the Yanks. Then again, the Yanks have no pitching, they're probably good enough to get by the Twins but not much further.

I don't think the Cards can get up enough momentum to advance to the Series, if only because they're so used to having the National League leadership position that they may be strung out.

And let's not forget the Astros...

Should be quite an interesting playoff, all of the teams have their strengths and weakneses.

Don't think the Dodgers can get by St. Louis, though I'd love for them to, it's 7 to 2 right now for the Cards.

Braves and Astros should be a great series, as well as the Bosox and Angels. Yankees will get by the Twins (again).

Once again, as has been documented here before, there is no way in the world I want Boston to win, their fans I've come into contact with have made me root for the Yanks. Win something first Boston, and then start yapping; until then, shut the hell up, we all know Pedro's late season swoon is no mirage, and Schilling can't do it all by himself, unless there's a ton of rainouts

Hope to see an Angels and Astros series, doesn't matter to me who wins.

Great ALCS game last night, at least Boston did not go quietly, at least the first game lived up to all of the hype about the series.

Schilling's tough, no doubt about that, and the Bosox certainly have the hitting to take down the Yanks, but we'll see how Pedro responds tonight, and if any of the rest of Boston's maddingly inconsistent staff steps up (looks like Curt probably won't be available, but we'll see).

Apparently, now that the Dodgers are gone and the Sox down 2-0, most of the interest is gone from the playoffs. Bit bummed that the game was rained out tonight.

Cardinals look strong, we'll see what happens now that Clemens and Oswalt pitch.

What a difference a few days make

First Ortiz with that colassal homer to keep the Bosox alive, then he does it again with a bloop to center that sends Jesus Damon around the bags to end a fourteen-inning monstrosity. I'm not saying the Sox are gonna come back and win it all, but the past two nights it's been an actual series, not a walkover for the overpaid, overhyped, overdone New York Yankees. If they want to advance to the WS, they're gonna have to kill Boston to do it. Then again, Aaron "Freaking" Boone last year isn't such a distant memory. But for right now, the Sox are playing their guts out

I haven't been keeping up with the NLCS, but I think that's a pretty evenly-matched series, too close to call.

It's gotta suck for the fans on the east coast, with these looooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggg games on school nights. Yes, I'll give the Sox a ton of credit for continuing to fight, especially after providing Saturday's batting practice for the Yanks

Funny how the NLCS is almost seen as an afterthought for a large part of the country, I still see more hype for the Yanks/Sox series by far.
