This is why professional sports sucks... you have to drop players because they cost too much...

Seriously though, I'd ask the season ticket holders if they want to keep the team "as is" and match the prices.. especially in Boston where it's always sold out.

Doesn't post season mean the seasons over, those crazy Americans

I personally don't care much about baseball or who wins any games, but I am glad that Boston won...after that many years, they deserved it.

And no...I will not be jumping on any fucking band wagons and saying I was a Sox fan all along. DOn't you just wanna punch people in the mouth like that??

Ever since I got interested in baseball, I've had an admiration for the Red Sox. I have a cap that I bought back in '92 or '93, it's a Starter Bosox cap (one of those with an adjustable strap in the back, coming in handy seeing as how my head has swelled over the years), from the Sunday that Game Four against the Yankees it hasn't moved from its place in my room. Last night, I finally put it on after the toss from Foulke to the first baseman. I don't think I'll go ape and get a MLB-issued players cap, but I may ask for an away or home jersey with Schilling's number for Xmas :thumb:

Can you believe history was made last night? Un-freaking-believable

I probably will wash the cap, though. It's got stains, and my head always itches when I wear it

Bye bye Manny, Ortiz demanding a 15 million per year extension :p

Why wash the cap Tabsy? Doesn't look like many of the Sox did  A caller on a local sports talk show said something about how the Red Sox looked like a bunch of homeless people, what with Damon's hair, the mustaches, Pedro's pants over his cleats, etc.

Seriously, congrats to the Sox for their never say die attitude, and my coworker today was still not sure that they'd really, really won it, I told him to tune in tonight to see if they were still playing baseball. His dad, who's from Boston, was in tears, so I was quite happy for them, cause they've been absolutely true fans forever; it's the pinhead jock types I've met who make me hate the Sox so much.

Stop being so civil and help me with my list of players will soon be out of Beantown. So far, Varitek, Pedro, Lowe, Manny, Ortiz (not this offseason though)...

 I'm gonna let them have their day, God knows it's been a freakin' long time for the Chowderheads to enjoy something. Let's see, my coworker was also calling for Bellhorn to be traded about a week ago, and now I'm actually wondering how many of the Sox players on the roster are homegrown. Wonder if Theo can continue to work his magic by following the Yankee script for success.

I believe only one is homegrown. Epstein has actually beefed up their farm system and Boston should have some good prospects coming up to the majors in a few years, but the next two years should be a big letdown for Bosox fans when the free agent exodus will begin. Anyways, any team who beats the Yankees since 2001 has had hard times returning to glory (DBacks, Anaheim, Florida).

Perhaps you're thinking of softball. There isn't any tackling in baseball, although if the ball hits your hand, without a glove, hard enough, it'll break your hand.

If the English don't love baseball...why, they don't love freedom. Also, I think I saw a weapon of mass destruction under Queen Elizabeth's dress...perhaps we should invade them for their oil supply. :cowboy:

I'm George W. Bush, and I approved this message because Kerry's a homo :cowboy:
