Don't worry, the Sox are about to be swept.

Spoke a little too soon. Come on Sox!!! I am not even a fan of the Sox, just a fan of anyone playing the "evil empire". So sick and tired of seeing these guys BUY championships. Sick of them on T.V. ANd just plain sick of them.

Awesome avatar Tristan!!! The umps finally got one right there.

I truly believed the Red Sox were going to be swept, because never have I seen a team so capable of hamering the Yanks be so heartless and gutless, but they finally came to play in the last three and I hope they win the game 7.

Curt Schilling is THE FREAKIN' MAN!!!!!!!!!

Did you see that bloody ankle? That thing must've hurt like hell, but Schilling was out there eating the Yankees line-up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He owned them last night. Whether or not the Sox actually pull off a reverse sweep (and I don't want to say too much because...:ignore: ), last night will go down as the single most important showdown between these two teams. I'm just glad I'm alive to see it, it's that much of a historical moment already!

AROD was a pathetic little baby about that call, I think. He clearly and quite distinctly was knocking that ball out of Arroyo's glove. What's a matta, Alex? You don't like that call reversal? Here's the world's smallest violin

Man, for once the officials got it right (unless you're a Yankees fan, in which case  ). How often does that happen in league-series baseball?

Seeing as I've been wrong in every other prediction I make this series, I'm gonna say the Yanks win in 9 with Boston choking :evil4:

Too bad there is no team in Maine, because then we could have a real Bush team. :p

that johnny damon guy (red sox) went to the high school i teach at. he was friends with my roommate (also an alum)--she has some good photos of him in the late '80s/early '90s with a fantastic mullet.

one of the astros players went to our school, as well, but i can't remember who.

and zack greinke's (KC royals) dad is a fellow teacher in the social studies department. bit of a baseball heritage at dr. phillips high in orlando!

There's still a lot of annoying Bosox fans out there, so I'll never ever root for them, but big credit to them for not giving up in this series. Superb effort by Schilling as well, did that rainout help him with an extra day of rest and medical experimentation or what?

Anyone else hear Schilling blast A-Rod on Jim Rome today? Hilarious stuff!

Boston is the nearest team from Montréal, Terry Francona is an ex-Expos, so is Pedro and Orlando...

Who do you think I'm behind now ;)

Great good.. history has been done. I don't remember if my beloved Canadiens came back 0-3 or 1-3 in the last NHL playoffs, but I know the feeling! (and we beated... Boston!)

I would think in order to officially "Reverse The Curse", wouldn't the Sox need to win the series? I hope they pull it out. I am just so glad they finally beat the yanks though.

As a side note. Has anyone noticed all the damn formal KC Royals in the playoffs? We are like a damn farm team for the rest of the league here. I hope we are lucky enough to keep the formentioned Greinke for a while. That kid is awesome.

Who knows, the "curse of the Rocket" must be effective THIS year

Oh my, if the Astros win tonight, it will be interesting if Clemens pitch game #2 AT Boston.

Who's an ex-Expos with the cards? Is Dustin Hermanson still there? If so... I'm picking the Astros :p even though Moises isn't there anymore...

Let's see..

St-Louis has Steve Kline, Reggie Sanders and Larry Walker

Houston has nobody!

So I have to pick St-Louis?

As you can see I've been disconnected with baseball ever since MLB owns the Expos...

A public service announcement to the Yankees from your friends in Montreal.

Repeat as necessary.

Hugs and kisses,

It looks as is St. Louis and Boston will face each other in the WS, so I hope that the Cards stick it to Boston. I've been perusing sports message boards lately, and some Boston fans think they have a lock on this WS. The Cards have a legendary lineup, the second best defensive unit in baseball (statistically behind the Dodgers) [BTW what a catch by Edmonds tonight!], and they have the best bullpen. And what would people of Boston have to mope about with a winning baseball team :p. I would love to see Edmonds be the WS MVP.

The New York fans are outraged on some baseball boards -- A-Rod is now "Gay-Rod", "A-Fraud", "Pay-Rod".

As for the Cards - Sox series, I expect it to be a good one, and would not give total advantage to the Cards, only for the fact that the Red Sox have now the feeling that nothing can stop them... and that feeling can turn things to be true!
