Heard on the radio this morning from Michael Eavis that he wants to name a stage at the Glastonbury Festival after the great man himself.

A fitting tribute I think :)

As a glasto rookie, been going since 2004, i'll third that! Better name that "the new tent" isnt it?

Fitting gesture. Doubt MCD would do similar if Wittness/Oxegen was the event he covered...

Better idea than the original name: Morrissey's Big Fat Ass :evil4:

All kidding aside, nothing could be finer for the man who brought us "The Peel Sessions" :thumb:

Hopefully they'll dig up some decent new bands to put on said stage. Not that they'll have trouble finding bands with Peel's name on it....

Morrissey now looks like the late English comedian Bob Monkhouse.

Now Now, i'll not have a word said against either. Many a generation were brought up on Bob Monkhouses Mother in law jokes.
