Originally posted by bLuE oRdEr The polls don't tell the whole story. The winner will be the candidate who wins the most electoral votes-- not the candidate who wins the highest percentage of votes. That was made clear in the last election. Historically, every incumbent with less than a 50% approval rating (not the percentage of votes, but the percentage of voters who approve of the incumbent's job performance) has lost. Bush's approval rating is below 50%. Also, historically, undecided voters tend to favor the challenger 2:1. Given those factors-- The election goes to the candidate with the most electoral votes, unpopular incuments lose, and undecided voters prefer the challenger-- Kerry looks likely to win the election, if historical trends prevail.
Looking at polls this year, the undecided are 49/49/2 (Bush, Kerry, Nader)

Why didn't you get the sheep and goats out to vote!!!
