No...not the clint eastwood movie from the early 80's about stealing a soviet superplane....

the browser...anyone else using it? I luv it! only been using it for one day but its fast and no popups and no page freezes with the annoying "end now" radio buttons...

www.mozilla.org

Hopefully this doesn't count as spam...I'm not selling anything just noting that I really like this and it seems to work a lot better than explorer.

Thanks to the recommendation of Clockwork C, I began using it as well; I love it as well, and do not, for one second, miss IE, which was giving me headaches. :thumb:

On which planet do you live? Popups don't exist anymore on IE since the XP SP2, and it's been a while I've had the google toolbar to keep them out of the way... ;)

Only problem though, those popup killers are killing the "warning session will expire" button on NOOL, which is stupid since there isn't any other way to do that.

My only Windows box runs 2000. No popup blocker there

Anyway Nick - FIX THE DAMN FORUMS! They're IE dependent ATM, or else you get funny splitting of replies....

It is far far better than IE anything. Also, note to Nick - I get the NOOL "session will expire" messages on firefox!

It only blocks adverts. For instance, I use IE in college (have to) and occasionally check the channel4 news site, which is full of ads in internet explorer, but not in Firefox.

Its a better browser in every single tiny and big way.

for a 15 minute download at home / 20 seconds on broadband, its well worth it.

GET IT!! you wont look back :thumb:

I've been using Firefox since before most people here would have heard of it, and indeed before it was even known as Firefox, let alone Firebird.

I started using the buggy as hell Phoenix 0.1 in 2002 - Think it was November or December. It was slow, had a clunky interface and crashed a lot, but it was much smaller than Netscape (note, I never, ever used IE.)

I see it as the logical follow up to Netscape Navigator - which is what I've been using since before Microsoft knew what the internet was.
