Ah, what a great drugged out man! I will always remember when he took MTV cameras to follow him while he cashed in welfare checks even though he was a millionaire rapper.

Oi!!
Here we go!! DMB... that's not very nice! He was a funny "Bastard".
May God have mercy upon his soul. may God comfort his 12 kids and their many mothers. Now they proabably need the food stamps. God comfort his drug dealer as he may be going broke. May God take care of his cellmates as they are a little bit lonely.
Call me old-fashioned but I don't think the best time to make crass jokes about someone, or slag them off, is just after they've died, do you?

Very well said. But then he wasn't as white as John Peel.

It's because ODB, or Dirt McGirt, was such an outrageous character, who carried his life in a very bad manner. Don't compare him to John Peel ![]()
RIP ODB, your "Dirty I got your money" video puts a smile on my face every time I think of it ![]()

but tristan, my boy, that's the american way!
Perhaps you are right. There are 13 kids out there who wanted to celebrate their father's birthday.
Showing me age now. Every morning I just about hit the obituaries column in the Indie, just as I'm reaching Marylebone Station. Never used to bother with them before, but these days they're as interesting a read as anything the Sports pages chuck up. In the past two weeks - John Peel, Yasser Arafat, Emlyn Hughes, Keith Weller, ODB.
