Should we liberate the French from their brutal and oppresive gov't?

Seeing as France is obviously being oppressed by a brutal dictator in Jacques Chirac and is full of people who (like the Iraqis) love freedom, I think we should go ahead and get even further removed from nabbing Bin Laden by invading le country Mere (my french is rusty).

We'd be "liberators", of course, and the French would welcome us with flowers and chocolates. The most any insurgents could mount against us is baguette volleys from the top of the Eiffel Tower :evil4:

So, what's it gonna be? Should we liberate the French?

Did you know that OPRATION IRAQI FREEDOM was originally called OPERATION IRAQI LIBERATION ( O I L ), you could not make it up.

What a lot of people over here don't realize is that French fries aren't originally from France. They're from Belgium. And, since Belgium doesn't seem to do anything, why call them "Freedom fries"? Why not be PC and call them "Belgium chips" or "deep-fried potato slivers"? But, who even says "French fries" anymore? Most Americans, at least in this part of the country, just say that they want fries with that.

I, for one, will gladly curtail my consumption of french fries, and therefore pledge to increase my consumption of brie and Veuve Clicquot. :thumb:

Eh!!?? "Freedom Fries"?? WTF are thems?? I'll take my "French" Fries with extra salt and mustard please!!

Viva la France!!!!

Why? Ohhhhhh....I dunno. Maybe the freakin Statue of Liberty!!! Oh yeah...she's French!! (You think she's wearing anything under that robe? :evil4: )

Hmmmmm....America's Revolutionary war??? Hello!! The French did kinda help us out there a bit...last time I checked. :thumb:

I for one will not be bashing the French just to bash the French. Liberals maybe...but not the French.

Yeh Frech Fries need to be liberated. They could then asssume their rightful name of American Fries, as there's obviously more of them in USA than in the rest of the world combined. :)

I think the direct translation of french fries from French to English comes out as fried potatoes.

We still call them chips, except when it comes to certain Scottish restaurants.

I merely proposed the prospect of "liberating" France because it makes about as much sense as "liberating" Iraq...when we should've kept our eye on the ball (hey, remember Osama?).

Anyway, expect Bush and Cheney to be hitting golf balls off the Eiffel Tower in June :evil4:
