I own a TV.
A broken TV. When I moved to my apartment 3 years ago, I didn't have the money for cable, being a starving student and all, so I haven't watched TV since. Then, sometime within the last year I discovered that one of the TV connections in my living room-- the connection I thought was for cable-- is actually for the antenna on the roof of my building.
So I could have been watching TV all along. But... I didn't have the money to buy a cable to connect to the antenna at the time, being a starving student and all... and besides, the TV is in my bedroom now, because I was still able to watch videos (my Italian film collection, so I could practice listening to the language-- and that's my only video collection)... so I still didn't connect my TV. And then, there was a small explosion, and the color now makes a bullseye pattern of different colors... and then there was a small explosion, and the sound went out...
When I hear people discuss TV shows, I have no idea what they're talking about. And I don't even care; it seems less and less relevant as time goes by-- just an enormous waste of time to sit and stare blankly, night after night.
