The only big interview any of the band members was with Suggs, Neville from The Specials had a few lines as well, but nothing from messrs Hall or Dammers except old interview clips. Still, a very well put together programme. I enjoyed it. There may possibly be a Ska / 2Tone / Punk night down our local next year....if the Indie night goes well
Enjoyed the programme last night. Brought back a few memories.
Reminiscent of Factory the shambolic way 2 Tone was run.
One thing stood out for me though - The Specials were fooking superb.
Missed it! The missus watched some shite about George Michael on BBC1 instead,and forgot to set Sky+.

Yes they were. I had forgotten how good they were until I picked up a best of album in the supermarket one day. Has been in the car CD changer ever since

Wish I could've seen that. I love The Specials, Selecter, Madness, English Beat, etc.--but the Specials especially. Too bad they went into a nosedive later in their career (not to say anything of their reunion period, in which I managed to see them live, but for what?).
That 2-disc 2 Tone Singles Collection is a great document. Really shows how a whole label can turn to shit over a few years...just like Factory, as someone suggested.
