I wonder what the high risk matches are?
There's been a fair bit in the papers recently about the Huns, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs firms. Twill be interesting to see which they show the night.
Rangers - Aberdeen is one of the games, Hibs - Hearts the other i think. The trailer showed what looked like Man U fans on their visit to Ibrox in the CL last year. A lot of trouble before that game by all accounts.
It was quite hard to tell from the clips, which matches were going to be covered. I'm gonna watch it though.
I was working in Denmark recently and saw a documentary on Danish casuals making a 'pilgrimage' to visit casuals from scottish teams and get fashion tips from them! Some of the people interviewed had been casuals for 24 years.
Watching the local news this evening i noticed Chester/Wrexham had an interesting game last night! 
There's a trouble-triangle brewing up down there, between birkenhead/wrexham/chester. I'm a tranmere fan and there's been trouble at rockferry station recently as you'll probably know, especially last year when wrexham visited. Dunno if tranmere and chester will play aginst each other though.

I thought the programme was shite, didnae see any huns getting their heads kicked in.
So Dons prominents are the worst/best in Scotland? Dunno about that, but they sure are ugly fuckers.
Thought the prog was OK, but it really didn't tell you 'owt we didn't already know: cat 'n' mouse; hooliganism is fun; the rozzers are increasingly sophisticated; mobile phones has transformed the hoolie game etc etc etc....

I live in the "triangle" you mean,although its about 25 miles from Wrexham to Birkenhead! I live in Little Sutton which is roughly 12 miles from each. There has always been a big problem with Chester/Wrexham supporters,they really hate each other-i`ve seen it go off big style in Chester city centre on a saturday before now. Not really aware of the Tranmere thing though. Its just rough as fuck in Rock Ferry!!!

Er, no, because Brimson would be a cunt. However, check out It's A Casual Life, his screenplay. Nasty in the extreme.
The Everton book "Scally" is a quality one to add to Hac's selections. Bloke's been at it from a teenager till his 40's. One of the better reads out there, especially when they went up to Aberdeen a couple of years back.

The 'Awaydays' book tells the story of trouble with tranmere/wrexham and anybody else going about crewe station at times. What was the full extent of the troubles? I know some people who are fans of conference sides and they say that Chester fans are pretty notorious, although It's the first I had heard of it.
The best football "hooligan" books i've read are by John King - "Football Factory", "England Away" etc. The Brimson brothers are fucking terrible.
I've seen some huge fights between the 2 sheffield clubs over the years. I was only involved once, got caught up in it all in the town centre. This massive bloke threw a punch, I dodged out of the way and he fell over and knocked himself out on the curb. Then I heroically hid in the bookies.

That's a novel though. Might be some truth in there but it's written as pure fiction (bit like the Brimson stuff!). Isn't his best mate a Joy Division obsessive in Awaydays?

Yeah he was obsessed with JD, unfortunately the book hints that was the reason why he became obsessed with taking stanley knives into the football with him. I think most of the stories are fiction, for example the one where they hide from a gang of huddersfield fans in a doctor who convention!

what is the group(s) that are 'casuals'? i understand it's centered around football and there are scottish casuals and danish casuals and one can be a casual for over 20yrs...(?)

exactly how visible is all this? meaning are there incidences in the news all the time and is every town plagued with some degree or another or is it wholly based around football and most incidences occur around matches?
