So tell me which concerts you are going to and who with and WHY!I have just bought a ticket to see IAN HUNTER of MOTT THE HOOPLE and HUNTER/Mick RONSON fame play in my next town. Now this guy is one of my HEROES.For him to be playing at THE MILL on a MONDAY NIGHT in MAY is just too good to miss.
ALL THE YOUNG DUDES CARRY THE NEWS......i was going to go with JIMMY but he died at 25(SPEED CHILD DON'T WANT TO STAY ALIVE WHEN YOU ARE 25).So i am going here by myself although i post on IAN HUNTER's site,so i may meet up with some other posters there.I wonder what they will think of ME?:D
Now your turn NOOL's.Let's see where it is happening.

QUESTION MIKE...what happened in 1979 at GLASTO to make STEVE (guitar axe hero to many) to give up this TRADE back then and concentrate on PRODUCING groups like SIMPLE MINDS.I was reading about him last night cos i thought i had heard him before but this was mentioned but NO DETAILS?
Cheers ROCKET MICK![]()
Don't know if Glasto 79 was a defining moment, but he chose a different direction at the time of PUNK really, he returned to music in 89 with SYSTEM 7 although he still produces.
I have a mixing desk recording of Glasto 79 if yer interested?
He was of course in GONG, of Flying Teapot fame
Nice one MIKE.Yes it said there was A LOT of PROBLEMS and other things happening in 1979 which made him QUIT.But as i said NO DETAILS.Did he get fed up with HIPPIES or find BETTER drugs?:D
He was forced to cut his set short, so that pissed him off a bit, as for drugs, he smokes at International level - respect to the TEA COSIED one
Not a whole heckuva lot happening round this way, looks like Luna for "rock" and Barrington Levy and Mikey Dread for some reggae. Of course, we're all just waiting for the moment when New Order joins up with U2 for part of their forthcoming world wide jaunt........

No cos the EX is away and i am looking after TASHA ,her little dog.Due to the amount of problems with it's health at the moment i cannot trust my son to take care of her in my ABSENCE.Would have been good apart from having to leave early or fork out £50 to stay over like at GRETTON's gig.Are you going?![]()
Aye, looking forward to it an all. Big weekend ahead with the killers on friday, prob out round romiley on saturday, this gig on sunday and 5th av on monday for first night of term. :)
Another gig: April 14, Bloc Party at Astoria. I had to be quick on this one, the tickets sold out minutes after it went on sale at Stargreen website. ![]()
The sad news is that The Durutti Column will also play the same day at Islington Academy. ![]()
