Hey guys,

I am going to "shamelessly" plug my band....we have a show coming soon and I really think that if there are any people on the boards from the Chicago area; you might want to check us out.

We play all originals and I play the keys/synth in the band. We have a "distinct" sound, but I really let my "new order" influences come through with a lot of what I put into our music.

At our last show a few people came up to me and told me that I had a "NewOrder" style of playing; which I took as a huge compliment. We are starting to gain a following and with every show we have a better turnout. I am getting excited about the direction our band is taking and we are contemplating going on a "mini-tour" of the midwest.

Seriously, NewOrder fans...I am not one of those spammers that is posting about his band at every message board he can find. I visit this site regularly, post sometimes and I really have a lot of respect for the neworder fanbase.

Even if I can get one fan from this message board to come to our gig, I will consider creating this message a success. I really hope "word of mouth" can spread about our band and get us going in the right direction.

Our gig is on Saturday, Feb 26th at Gunther Murphy's in Chicago, located on Belmont.

Here is our band website: www.thecollectorsband.com We have our downloads available on: www.garageband.com

If anything, check out our website, download some mp3's and tell me what you think of the music. I love hearing what people have to say about our band.

Hope to see you guys there! Support new music! There are way too many friggin' cover bands in Chicago; it is like a sickness!!!!

Yeah...I used to live in Wheaton. Now I live in Glendale Heights.

Anyway, we have a lot of new songs out that sound a lot like NewOrder, but we don't have those in mp3 form yet.

There is one song, in particular, called "Permanence" that is totally NOrder sounding!

I think you should check us out! Do you work for that station, 88.7? If so, is there a chance you could spin some of our tunes on your station?

getting it on my show would be hard as it's 2 hours a week and i am limited to playing new wave, synth-pop, industrial. your best bet is going to the website and sending a cd to the station. the adress is on the website. you also have WONC in naperville you can send cds too.

also leave a link on retroforwardradio.com in the message boards to your mp3's. dj's will check frequently and if they like it, they'll play it on their shows.

Hey...don't be dicks. We don't collect foodstamps, we collect aluminum cans!

Actually, we all have day jobs...luckily, we don't have to rely on our music careers to support ourselves...
