I forgot to tell you what i drive
SAAB 95 Aero. 250 HP
Metallic blue, sand coloured leather
Bought it new 1 year ago
Just paid cash for a black 1990 Buick Park Ave. All the bells and whistles you'd expect from GM plus all the faults. A transitional vehicle until the fall or next spring when I am willing to take on another debt.
Petro guage reads almost half a tank when I leave the seller and drive it home. Then take it to pick up my wife. Stalls in her parking lot. Stalled 8 miles later. Then after picking up my Jag and having wifey follow me an additional 2 miles it DIES and refuse to run. I am able to coast it onto the shoulder of the road. A police officer pushed me to a safer location with his patrol car. Return with my neighbor several hours later, still will not start. Put in two gallons of petro and the fucker fires up!!! Gas guage still read 1/4 tank.
Was considering getting an old SAAB from the gentleman that runs a garage specializing in British cars. He loves SAABS and has about 20 for sale. Too small for my needs.

You should have got the SAAB in the first place.

which model? I used to have a 1.6 HF Turbo which I still miss very much.
Driving an Alfa 146 now.
Same thing I've had for the last 14 months, 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, in a bright Manchester Red color, which Don might appreciate. It's not like they had any in Celtic green though....![]()
Manuals rule on sports cars. Manuals suck for everyday cars. Why?? Because it costs about $500 USD when a clutch goes out. I have yet to kill an automatic although my killed a Nissan automatic once. But since I have been paying for my vehicles I have replaced 3 clutches and no automatic tranmissions. Sure they make an underpowered vehicle scream when turning a corner but it gets annoying shifting all the time. Hard to hold your beer and Big Mac and shift.
I currently have 1 manual--87 Ford Ranger V-6. Twas my father's truck. He never believed in 1st gear. Not long after acquiring it from him the clutch blew up on the freeway. Trucks should have autos, better for towing.
Now that MGA I am trying to get from a neighbor, manual please. That Miata I'd take in a heart beat, manual. A 427 CI Shelby Cobra, manual. A Jaguar C or D-type, manual. Grocery getter, auto. Vehcile to take me to werk, auto.

I would be very dangerous without an automatic transmission...
i agree!
2001 blue saturn SL2 sedan.
1997 Nissan Almera, red, 1.4L. About as basic as you can get, but I'm not really into anything special as regards cars. Affordable & reliable does just fine. Hoping to change it next year & will probably go for the same make & model, just a bit newer.
One thing I WILL splash out on though, if needs be, is a decent stereo. The Blaupunkt that I currently have is shite, takes about 20 minutes to get a cd playing when it's changed. (Yes, it takes a whole ONE cd at a time).
yep...looks just like mine...except mine is red...and has a New order sticker on the rear window...along with a Celtic FC one as well...
The wife's is black, with a YNWA sticker in the back (for Liverpool rather than Celtic though).
i'm the unfortunate owner of a gas guzzling ridiculous suv, toyota 4 runner, it's expensive all around. i even test drove mini's twice before going to the blasted suv. my only lame excuse is i live in a part of florida that has a ton of trucks that are jacked up beyond their 6' tires (how they get into them, i don't know). i could just see me in my sweet mini getting smushed under one of those trucks when a light changed while the republican redneck bush lover (the president not the other) was yukking it up on his cell phone. so that's why i bought the suv, less chance of getting smushed. i'll be glad to be rid of it, although it's been handy for moving, which i've done twice in the last two years.
