this movie sucked, i mean i wasnt expecting much, and i was still very very Dissapointed, and the worst part is that most of the Movie was pretty good, but the ending was just so increadibly Stupid it totally ruined the rest. there were scary parts that made you jump some decent effects but the story, which changed a lot from the original movie was just so Bad. anyone else see this?:banghead:

I didn't like it either, but I thought it was more entertaining than the original, at least!

both are crap. the original was lame and this one is also crap (sight unseen).

Anyone seen Sin City yet? I saw it yesterday finally and felt nicely desensitized.

My friend just picked up a digital copy hot off the five-fingered discount aisle and i'm waiting for an oppotunity to get off-campus to someplace with a connection so I can get a copy from him, damn network packet shapers.. :machinegun:

The whole story was just a scame to get out of a bad insurance deal or something like that. I suppose if I owed back mortgage on a house and couldn't pay it off, I'd be seeing ghosts and devilish beings too :evil4:

Considering the leading man of the remake, it could easily be called "Two Ghouls, a Ghost, and a Crappy Pizzaplace" (don't expect our friends across the pond will get that one) :D

Ryan Reynolds was in a sitcom called "Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizzaplace", on the pre-Desperate Housewives ABC (btw, has anyone ever actually made it through an hour of DH? I don't get all the fuss).

I'm currently reading the book, very good. Didn't know there was a remake. What's the point, can't american screenwriters do horror scripts anymore? Nowadays are only japanese remakes and new versions of old american films...

i have the book on order and i have heard its really scary, as a kid i lived near amityville when the book came out and my mom read it and i remember on the news everyday they had pictures of ghosts and whatnot, it was scary as hell and the 1st movie seemed scary when i was 6 too. this film is a completly different story, except for the location and the names of the Parents

Desperate Housewives is a megamix of Sex in the City, Peyton Place, and the less interesting parts of Arrested Development.

That would be nearly every movie these days then.
